A stunning pair of large diamond-style paste earrings with gold earring hooks. This beautiful pair were likely converted from antique silver buttons. In the 18th century wearing ornate mental buttons was an indication of wealth and status. These beautiful earrings are an absolute statement pair, with lovely bright paste, and as far as I can see with little to no yellowing given their age.
