An one-of-a-kind 9ct solid gold heart-shaped locket with an ostrich bird motif crafted from garnets. This beautiful and rare locket comes in excellent condition with both frames intact. This rare ostrich locket would make an excellent gift for a unique individual. Both the Victorian & Edwardian eras were known to use ostrich feathers in fashion, they were considered very sophisticated at the time, which is probably where this particular piece found its inspiration!

MEASUREMENTS: The locket itself is 25mm in height x 20mm in width, with an overall height of 30mm including the jump ring.

HALLMARKS: Fully Hallmarked, '9 .375’, Chester Assay, and the date letter ‘N’ for 1913, the frames are also marked 375 for 9ct gold.
CONDITION: VERY GOOD condition with some age-related wear, the central garnet stone appears to have been scuffed, and the locket has some small knocks to her back but this doesn’t detract from her individual charm! She comes with both picture frames intact. An absolutely beautiful piece!
