This Antique Gold Amethyst Ring has been converted, possibly from a pin or earring. The ring is hallmarked and its chunky cabochon ring is sure to make a statement for its wearer. This ring is beautiful due to its large size and faceted surface, but it has had a long life with previous repairs, so please have a look at the condition report below for clarity.

CONDITION: FAIR CONDITION - this ring is an absolute statement piece, however, she has had a long life and had previous conversions and repairs (please see the images). Some surface scuffs to the stone can be seen in the closeups. There has been a repair on the band. The small indent seen on the second photo is the only part which does not test as 9ct gold. There is a hallmark outside the setting from another jewellery item used for the conversion. I have had a look under a loop, there is a darker area on the back of the amethyst, I'm not able to tell if these are inclusions or a small crack. The stone has loads of beautiful rainbow refractions within the amethyst! This is an absolute individual piece and would make an amazing statement ring regardless of its long past life. The ring is fully wearable as it is currently.
